Thank you so much. This method, which seemed intially impossibly complex, now seems much clearer because this great lesson has allowed me to begin to clearly see the structure around which the method is built.

Hi, I was just looking on the Live Google doc and was wondering what the text in red (for example, finding eigenvectors for 3x3 matrices) and blue (for example, using the Cayley-Hamilton theorem) meant? Thanks for the great videos!

Would doing a similar proof of the 2x2 matrix using areas and subtracting them on an (x, y) co-ordinate axes work the same on the 3x3 matrix proof, using the (x, y, z) co-ordinate axes and subtracting volumes?

Is there any reason behind where that + - grid comes from, seems a bit random?
