You could also use half a lemon or lime to gently rub out the inside of the fish and the skin if required to completely get rid of the fishy smell

Hi Chef, thanks so much for teaching us this important step, no wonder some fish taste so fishy despite using a lot of ginger.
Just want to ask how would you know if the fish isn’t salty anymore after rubbing and washing with salt?
