3. Run 5ks
4. Run at a fast pace
5. "Goggins" it (mental toughness)

Yep, with all the push on for "run slow to run fast" zone 2 training we can end up training our body to run slow! I remember many years ago asking my PT how I could get better race times, He said "run faster"have never forgotten the simple truth of that.

My first 5k on April 2024 was 25:40, then in July went down to 24:23, then in November 23:41, andddd this morning I got a new PB of 22:55, we'll continue training

So good. When did you start dreaming sub 15. What was the hardest minute to crack and Toughest mentally. I've only broken sub 18twice. Only started running at 41 so not planning to hit sub 15 but low 17s would be nice

Im at 280 pounds never really ran before but i started a month ago. My fastest 5k time is 35 minutes. How can i get faster without my heart rate being through the roof. I stay in the green zone for most of my runs.

I'm new to running so forgive my knowledge but i doubt most people will ever achieve a sub 15 5K, you must be a top athelete. This make me feel so crap 😅

As a beginner how you supposed to establish all those benchmarks when you dont know what you're doing, HUH? ALL WRONG. Run slow to go longer, speed work coupled with aerobic training to reach a pace, have friends pace you, plenty of recovery, hydration and nutrition. Following these tips will lead to hating running, all work no fun is NOT it
