I've used pea hawks for redfish and trout in the IRL and mosquito lagoon but never thought of using them for peacocks when I moved down to South Florida, def gonna try it

Peacock are super fun they like moving baits xraps work great on them.

They are definitely drag screamers and will attack anything that moves by their face. Canals are the best areas to target. Tamiami trail canals and homestead are crazy stacked! Great vid TJ I’ll be in south Florida to chase em again in April 👊

Bro, I always see these peacock bass right along the bank whenever I'm out fishing but I can never catch them! I never knew they liked bright colors. I'm definitely gonna try out bright colored lures for a change. Thanks for the info! I'll try to come back to this video and let you know if I have any success with them.

YakPak, you mentioned walking ponds in this video. You also did a vid where you fished Peacock Bass from your Old Town kayak. I believe you were in a South Florida canal area. Where was that area? I own an Old Town Sportsman kayak I can transport to South Florida from Central Florida. At 70-ish I'm not a pond walker but can kayak for days on end 😊👍. Peacock Bass are seriously on my fishing Bucket List!
