Finding the average force during a collision

Показать описание
A 75.0 kg ice skater moving at 9.50 m/s crashes into a stationary skater of equal mass. After the collision, the two skaters move as a unit at 4.75 m/s. If the impact time is 0.120 s, what are the magnitudes of the average forces experienced by each skater during the collision?

Thank you my man. That was what i needed. But i wanna know, when the question states that the first object has collided with the second for 0.7 seconds, does this change the formula or the answer?

Cool. But I didn’t quite understand what the dt actually means? Time from two bodies begin colliding until they detached from each other? What if we have two rigid bodies with dt -> 0? We get infinite force then?
