この動画は、Session Starducksプロジェクトの一環で、皆様からのご要望が多かったSpace Lionをオリジナルメンバーと有志によって制作（新アレンジ・新録）したものです。

This video is a part of the Session Starducks project, in which the original members and volunteers produced a new arrangement and recording of "Space Lion," which had been frequently requested by fans.

Session Starducksについて
Session Starducks は2020年、コロナの渦中で、世界中の皆さんに「生き残りたい！」（「ライオン」の歌詞）とがなってもらおうというひよこ隊長の思い付きで始まり、最終的に以下のような参加型のプロジェクト
と同時に、本動画のようないくつかの新録を制作しました。

About Session Starducks:
Session Starducks began as an idea by Captain Duckling(Yoko Kanno), who thought that everyone around the world would feel uplifted if they sang "I want to survive!" (a lyric from one of Captain Duckling's representative songs, "Lion") during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. As the project progressed, it was updated and eventually became a participatory project, such as the following:
At the same time, several new recordings were produced, including this video.

Honestly... for all of us here that have experienced the bliss of the piece of work called Cowboy Bebop and its music (I know many here are music avids besides the series, or even musicians, who can appreciate the tremendous artistry of this band) the emotions these music pieces inspire on us maybe only we can understand. I watched Cowboy Bebop when I was ten and I always loved this song. My father passed away 5 years ago, this song now reminds me of him. He has been through a lot. Rest in peace dad. "That is not an ordinary star my son, that star is the tear of a warrior."

This song hits me hard, I was maybe a 16 year old boy beginning to understand things, and now I'm 37, alone in my house thinking about shit that happened and just thinking of this song breaks me a little.
I think I'll listen to it, maybe cry a little bit with a glass of wine.

I remember back in 2015 I introduced my dad to Cowboy Bebop, he heard it was one of the best ones ever written. He wasn't wrong. We watched the whole series together and he lived the music to the Nth degree. For context, he used to play the trumpet for American Band Stand music and he was amazing at it. Triple tongue was easy for him. So when he heard the music it blew him away. Hearing this one, it gets me a bit choked up from time to time.

Rest easy space cowboy... I'm still carrying that weight.

Yoko Kanno is a gift from Heaven. Her music so awe-inspiring mixing rhythm and blues, bebop, hip hop and jazz. There's one piece (Think called Freedom) i can't get through without crying.

Listening to this, I'm back in 2000, a 10 year old kid who's just seen and heard something unlike anything that came before. Cowboy Bebop has stayed with me to this day, and this song brings me to tears every time. Thanks to the entire Bebop team and for the Seatbelts for this revisit.

It is 2:12 in the morning here in Atlanta and I'm standing here watching this and listening to it again as if I had never seen it I feel like I've been taken back in time to the first time I ever watched Cowboy Bebop., 64 years of age and I still have the same reaction I had then., if this does not open your mind and make your heart beat fast., you no longer have a soul... So say we all. One of the most beautiful things I've ever seen recently was a performance of this on YouTube that was done for a wedding, if you haven't seen it you should.

I have no words to describe the amount of things this composition makes me feel and the places in my mind it takes me to. The first time I listened to it on jupiter jazz I remember being on a wanderous journey and floating away. Those final minutes felt like an entire season of it's own.🤩🌌

Yoko. Thank you for making this possible during the days people where hunkering down due to the pandemic. I played Space Lion every day, I was one of the few essential workers who was not given the choice to stay at home; my body was broken, my soul crushed but I never gave up, I never let anyone down, I cried from physical pain many times but this song gave me the joy and courage to keep pushing forward until it was safe for everyone else to come out. Thank you so much.
