That is not an ordinary star, my son. That star is the tear of a warrior.

Even members of the audience, who probably have no idea about the origins of this, are looking back wondering what this magical piece is...

can you imagine composing music for a 90's show, and then seeing this, your piece being played live at a wedding on the otehr side of the planet?

When a man is getting married... a tear of a warrior can be seen in the stars.

The acoustics in that church are wonderful and this rendition of the song is breathtaking

switching to the horn makes it sort of regal where the sax makes it melancholic. perfect for a wedding.

Man, just found out my little sister just passed away. I introduced her to cowboy bebop and she loved this song. When we'd hang out in the car she'd play it just and a lot of the music from Cowboy Bebop, but this song she had a passion for. I'll miss you kid and I'll figure this out. 1/09/2021 Love you Mae.

I used to be a warrior. But now as an old man this song is my salvation. It saved me from the guilt of the crimes I committed overseas and stopped me from drinking myself to death. Never give up, you are better than you think you are...

You can see 3 bounty hunters react at the beginning, they probably recognized the song.

"You're gonna carry that weight."

Actually pretty great with a horn instead of a sax. Sounds regal and beautiful.

Kudos to all of them for replicating the masterpiece, but especially to the trumpetsman, he flawlessly replaced the sax and made sure it didn't lose any magic. Couldn't hold back my tears when the vocals came in, so beautiful

Yoko Kanno is a genius. Evergreen composition.

The best part for me is watching the crowd of 60 years olds and the priests listening respectfully.

I know why Yoko Kano is always smiling. Because she is so happy and full of pride and joy of life to see so many share their art and live life with it. I love it.

In my teens I worked for a music band that had at least 5 gigs per weekend.
During the breaks, me and my childhood buddy were in charge of the ambience music (i.e.: when food was served you usually play Ray Connif-esque music, while, during the second break we played hyped up music 'cause the last part required every guest on the dance floor).
Well, at lunch time we played Macross Plus, Chobits, Magic Knight Rayhearth, Sailor Moon and a few slow songs from CB'OST -like Space Lion attached with 'Good Night, Julia'-
The second brake's second half was a simple tecno base with samples from Macross Plus, Evangelion, CBebop, Ghost in the shell, Chobits, Gantz and some other animes I can't remember.
It was very early 2001 untill 2005.
The fact that we dressed up as if just returning from a trip to Europe helped people to assume we were some sort of music experts.
Very few people recognized the music and even fewer knew the name of the song. Then, during my last week's with the band, they made a Dragon Ball 'jingle' and place it within a ballad.

I got married in 2005 and I play a lot of Cowboy bebop music without telling anyone, some people didn't like but my husband did enjoy it❤️🎶 he didn't know either

I don't know if I would have this played at my wedding but I do think the tone of a trumpet makes it sound more uplifting than the sax versions. Also, being in such a beautiful, grand church doesn't hurt
