[Fix] The Importer Reported a Generic Error in Adobe Premiere

This may be very rare, but on the off chance that it helps someone else in my situation: after deleting the cache files and restarting the system, open premiere pro while holding down the option (Mac) or Alt (PC) key until you invoke a screen prompting you to reset the preferences. This was a user specific issue (other editors could open projects without issues, with their login on the same computer. Maybe try this prior to doing a full reinstal. You do lose some preference settings, but not effects presets, keyboard and window layouts.
