This song stopped me in my tracks I was walking out the church for good. I sat back down and cried because I was dealing with an illness that was robbing me of my life. That was 11 yrs ago. I sought Jesus and I'm still in church today. I always come back to this to remember how far He's brought me.

Ruth Graham was my sunday school teacher at Montreat Anderson College in 75. I had the priviledge of doing the worship music each Sunday, before her teaching. She later asked me to do some mission work for her. A part of who i am is because of the Jesus i saw in her. I will never never forget that time in my life.... i miss her.

My wife says that if she doesn't start off with Jesus in the morning, it's not a good day. Jesus, the Holy Spirit and God, are the most important people, in the entire world. God loved us so much that he gave his only Son. If we admit, believe and commit to Jesus, we'll go on with Him to eternity.

I met Ruth outside her home in 1977, and she asked me and Peggy, a friend, to pray for Billy. I am still moved by Ruth's poetry and Billy's sermons.

I saw Fernando perform this live in 2001 a few days after 9/11. It was pretty much like this rendition, except no guitar or cello, just Fernando playing the grand piano. It was the closing song in his set. When he was done the auditorium was absolutely silent, stunned. There was no applause because it just didn't seem right. What a moment. That night was awesome, because Twila Paris was the featured performer. She closed with "God Is In Control", which lifted us all up in light of 9/11.

Every time I feel that I am moving away from God because eagerness of this world, I listen to Fernando Ortega, and immediately his music makes me move my heart and fall to my knees and have that intimate communion with my Lord again

What an amazing woman to release her husband to travel and do what God called him to do. Which meant she had the burden of raising their children mostly alone and run the household. Wow.

My best friend, Gene Snider, received Jesus Christ in his living room while watching Billy Graham on television. One year later, Gene was a counselor at the Billy Graham meetings in Sacramento helping others receive Christ as he had done one year earlier. My first article I had published was in Billy Graham's Decision Magazine. I shared Gene's conversion story.. Praise Jesus!

This song touches me on several levels. First, I've followed Billy Graham for many years. Second, my father just passed away at age 90. He was a devout Christian. So the first verse reminds me of how he started his day. He was "alone" for 27 years after my mother passed away, so the second verse grabs me. And of course the third verse hits me hard. My consolation is that he is now reunited with his wife in heaven, and he has been given Jesus face-to-face.
