Crysis 2 PC Gameplay GTX 680

Without Fraps I got between 44 and mid 70s fps with Ultra and DX11

I figure it out on my setting, lol I play on a plasma tv, and whenever i go into full screen the tv does this conversion to 24 p, like if I was going to watch a movie so then I turn vsync off and it all works fine, so yea if the screen refreshes at less than 30 hz it will do that, so yea I just play with the vsync off, and no problems, and when in windowed mode it doesnt look like crap or sounds like bad either cus the tv actually refreshs at 60 hz or 94 hz, so yea plasmas suk for pc gaming.

If you like AMD or not doesnt matter. Its a good thing for YOU if they stay alive. if they go out of buisness that means Intel and Nvidia will have monopolies over the CPU and GPU markets respectively meaning they can charge whatever they like. If AMD dissapears, intel will make a processor that is 1/10th of a GHZ faster than a current model and charge twice as much for it, and people will have to pay because its the only processor their is. When Nvidia relized how good the 670TI performed against the HD7970 they simply renamed it... so this is really the middle card. To be compared with HD7950...
Tho I doubt Nvidia ever will release their real GTX680 when the GTX670TI is kicking HD7970's ass as it is. But it would've been nice to see AMD getting buried in the GPU market as well (As they have been in the CPU market).

Stop talking about the 7970 in GTX 680 vids. The ATI got cheap driver, some wierd game crash and compatibility bug. Sure the 7970 on paper got higher number but the GTX 680 got the technologie and the software. The 7970 is beated everywere in any benchmark and any game. Still the 680 got very early driver and you can expect more power from it in the month to come.

well i found this video, i dont know if this guys has similar specs to the ones you have, but he clearly has 60+ fps using the same gpu, and ultra and dx11 configuration in the game. im pretty sure that your card can asure you almost ever to get 60+ fps in cyrsis 2.

no they aren't? If you dont have the cash to waste on intel cpu's AMD is the best choice. An AMD Phenom ll X4 965 BE cpu is more then enough for any gamer. Intel's chips are for people who have too much fucking money and want a few extra fps in a game

2011 Socket is for 6 cores, 6 cores start at 679$ for the CPU and 300$ for the motherboard, and it's a cheap one.

You start at 1000+ already and you have no PSU, no RAM, no Hard Drive, no BOX, no heatsink, no Vidéo card.

Awesome video. CPU Bottleneck though. Get off the LGA1156 socket type and you'll be fine. Switch over to like the 3570k on an upgrade and you will probably see significant amounts of performance.

what 24p does is like it locks the refresh rate at 24hz, wich vsync turns into 24fps so is like the cut scenes are meant for 30fps or more, not less, and that results in the sound stutter.

so many people play fps at 1080. is that the best resolution for fps? will 1200 res terribly reduce your reaction time?

I would've thought higher res and seeing more would help your game.

With the texture pack and directx11 patch, all settings on ultra.
Except motion blur to normal.If you dont believe i can send you a printscreen.
Resolution 1920x1080 maybe you have higher resolution.

Whom are you trying to bullsh*t? And (in GOD'S NAME) WHY?! I play on GF 580x2 SLI with mostly constant 60fps (V-synced) and GPU usage in MSI afterburner is mostly 90+%. (1920x1200 DX11 ultra)

might be a bottle neck in your system or the 680's drivers are still young. my hd 5970 seems tp push this game easily usually over 60fps. just cuz lots of driver updates over the years.

Could I run this on ultra? Gtx 680m 2.6 ghz 16 gigs of ram. I custom built it online and I'm gonna order it (most likely) also it cost 2100$ is that a fair price?

You have a crazy bottle neck, upgrade your CPU (on the 29th of April the Ivy Bridge CPUs will be released, at the same price of the Sandy Bridge but better)

sorry but my english is not that good, so i dont understand you mean, u had frames in the 170s?? u were able to run crysis 2 at 170 fps on ultra settings?

I have nvidia gtx 470, i7 920 to 3.2ghz and i get 30fps.How is possible to get only 44fps??? with that card, maybe your cpu needs upgrade.

Depends on your alternatives. Id prefer a vacation in front of a gfx card any day. But if you got everything you need. Yeah it sure is worth it
