How to Make Falafel Salad

Falafel salad is a full on healthy, tasty and protein packed meal. It has beautiful textures from the crispy falafels, freshly cut onions and a bunch of greens complimenting the creamy yogurt dip. It’s freshness from the lettuce and herbs blend so beautifully with a variety of seeds. The grilled halloumi tops this salad with out-bursting flavors from our very own homemade chooza sauce. The recipe links for my homemade falafel and chooza sauce is as follows;

These are ingredients you will require:

For marinating Halloumi Cheese
250g Halloumi cheese
1/4 cup Chooza Sauce (recipe link provided in the description box)

1/4 cup Couscous
1/2 cup hot water

6-7 Lettuce leaves
1 Cucumber
10 Cherry tomatoes
1/4 cup Parsley
1/4 cup Mint
2 tsp white sesame seeds
1/4 cup Pumpkin seeds
1/4 cup Sunflower seeds

For the dressing
1/4 cup Yogurt
2 tbsp Tahini
1/2 Lemon
3 Garlic cloves
2 tbsp fresh Dill
3 tbsp Olive Oil
1 tsp Salt

Beetroot- cut in matchstick size
Onion rings
6-7 Falafels (recipe link provided in the description box)
Balsamic glaze
