The wall art behind you makes you look like a saint from a 14th century painting.

I take delivery of my Cybertruck AWD tomorrow! I can’t wait to drive it and am excited for all the features that are soon to release!

As i understand it
Its more like an highway that its getting both ways arround and gets redundancy since it can detect a breach and get to it from the other side

Meanwhile here in Australia all we have is a very antiquated highway stack and no FSD elsewhere and no sign of it coming. I paid for it five years ago and have basically just subsidized US drivers - your welcome 😐

It can do reverse which is a step forward. Haha. Good one.

Looking forward to FSD12.5 and I don't even drive a Tesla. 😂 The closest I get is on YouTube with you, Omar, Chuck and others.

Just FYI, recall that Peter Bannon mentioned that they are not doing power over Ethernet in cybertruck as power lines "too noisy" when asked during the Menroe interview done shortly after the cybertruck delivery event

If you know how trains can send and receive telegraph messages while traveling. Or how DCC controlled HO model trains operate. Then you know the complex simplicity of high frequency single, double and triple wire communication and control of Tesla's Ether Loop.

So it's kind of an Ethernet-based token ring. Presumably the ring operates in both directions, for redundancy, like many of the earlier token rings. Otherwise, it's not clear why the loop would be prefereable to a single bus or a tree structure. It will be interesting to see a complete technical description of this.

So, my question is, How will this new wiring architecture and assembly method affect the repairability of Tesla's vehicles? Will it be harder or easier to identify and replace faulty components?

My guess is the rumor is true. Usually elon smacks down fud immediately.

I hope they'll also let drivers report map problems. I have a weird situation where you have to jog left from a stop sign onto a little frontage road. If you jog right you enter against a "do not enter", which is an exit from the main road. Very weird intersection, which should be a roundabout. But V12 has been attempting the right jog, which would both not get you where you were going but also put you in mortal danger.

Perhaps the reversing issue is lack of training data?

Has Tesla replied to your concern about the horizontal gates that the cameras aren't seeing? Real impediment if they don't fix that....

Sounds like an ethernet implemented version of the old network protocol Token Loop. The big advantage of which over standard ethernet is a fixed latency and no network collisions, both of which would be great for in-vehicle communications.

FSD needs some sort of communication input from the driver. I can give instructions to my Uber driver but FSD can only respond to a navigation point. This is very frustrating and makes 50-75 percent less functional than it could be

If GM invented Ether Loop, they would spend millions on advertising explaining that it will save them billions and increases car reliability by 3, 000%!

So... what if Elon moves CyberCab reveal to October. Perhaps 10/10?
Per google: "Number 10, often regarded as lucky in Chinese culture, holds a profound significance as it symbolizes perfection and completion."

I thought years ago, TESLA should have their own 'silicon foundry' to make their own chips. But outsourcing is cheaper when you have such as TSMC, Panasonic, Samsung, etc (Motorola sold their foundry in Austin years ago - I worked there in the late 1990s).

Tesla says they are not running power over their ethernet. It's too noisy
