Great information in this video. The music and narration are crack up. The music makes me feel like I'm sunny and cheery; it's like I'm a child again. And the bot-like narration is also just as weird. I was considering buying another A-07 but, with the knowledge I've gained from this video, I'll probably go with the Fosi. the fact the Aiyama is downgrading it's components to increase their profit margins is very helpful to know.

14:03. I 100% agree! Volume and power really should be different controls!
1) I do not want to adjust my volume level when I turn the device on and off!
2) I do not want to place a bunch of wear and tear on the volume pot just because I want to turn on and off my device everyday.

A solid first effort. I'll give you a sub just for the teardown. It's nice to know what's inside these things and how they perform.

I know others have complained about your music but it wasn't too bad and I got somewhat used to it. At a minimum turn down the volume next time and make sure it's the type of music that won't draw attention to itself.

Despite what others have said, I would still recommend background music if you're going to use narration software. I could be wrong but I feel like it would balance out the voice and keep it from being its own distraction.

Anyway, I look forward to your next video.

Nicely done! The stress tests tell the story very nicely.

I've been warning people about the A07s heat problem for a while now. This V3 design from Fosi appears to fix it quite nicely.

Can't say I'm happy about the on/off switch on the volume control, though.

That said... I've been using A07s in my "sound bar killer" setups for over a year and with a 32 or 36 volt, 5 amp power supply they perform admirably. I also use one in my main stereo system. I've never felt that it lacks power, in fact I seldom get it over 1/4 volume (about 4 watts).

There is one negative that should be noted (and this applies to a wide range of these little China-Amps) ... *About half of the NE5532 op-amps in use are fakes* . They are re-branded "something else" chips and I have seen considerable variation in their parameters. I don't believe this is a manufacturing issue. It appears to be "supply side" as there are so many showing up in lots of different places.

Of late I've taken to simply pulling the NE5532s out of these little amplifiers wherever I find them and replacing them with RC4558 chips, which cost less than a dollar each. It's a good fix and often there is an audible improvement.

But please also be aware that beyond the initial "repair" swap, using more expensive or more exotic op-amps brings almost no improvement.

At least you're thorough on testing and actually have equipment that works. One "diyaudio" channel just said "my equipment died" and didn't measure it at all, instead of holding off until he got working test equipment.
