I hear you about the mowing. I also live in a semi-rural area in the Mid Hudson Valley in NY. I have a Husqvarna riding mower with a 48in deck. I have just over 4 acres with about half cleared. Left the other half woods for privacy. Takes me about 90 minutes to do mine. At least my mowing is all flat land. As far as BBQ, nothing special, just old school Weber 22 1/2 inch charcoal Grill. Not a garage dweller. Mine is a mess, We either hang out on our front covered porch (nice size - 4 chairs 1 love seat and a couple of tables) or back deck (6 chairs with 2 captains and umbrella covered tiled table). Good video! Looks like fun there!!!

I've been using this amp for about a year as my main system driving Elac Debut 2.0 B6.2s and a Monoprice 12" sub. Added an Aiyima T7 tube preamp with tone controls and upgraded the power supply to a 36v 10 amp unit and upgraded the opamps. Couldn't be happier.

I have this same amp and my take aways are the same. It’s adequate and because it is so small it fits almost anywhere. Fun video

Hi Frank hope you feeling better? All you need to do is connect a Bluetooth Dac to it & a CD player and then you are set up with the start of your Hifi journey for not a lot money. ( plus the speakers ) better than just listening from a phone.

Hey Frank -

Good viewer question.

I have three systems in my garage. Let me explain. All my stuff comes from thrift stores.

SYSTEM 1 - The one I use for me.
This one is set up with an Onkyo TX-NR1008 Receiver, an iPod classic 160GB, Definitive Technologies ProMonitor 800+, and a Polk Audio PSW303. The most impressive are the Def Techs, which sound far bigger than they are. They have a wide response and the Polk sub just fattens up the bottom end.

SYSTEM 2 - The one I use to Demo Stuff.
This one is on a table next to the main shelves. It has an Onkyo HT-R420 Receiver and 4 sets of speakers currently set up (but not connected) I connect the appropriate speakers based on what I can glean from a buyer over the phone. They all sound good, though.
Snell Acoustics Type M's
DCM CX-17's
JBL LXE770's
Infinity EntraOne's with an Infinity EntraSub
I typically move the iPod from System 1 to this one (for use as a source) when I'm demonstrating something.

SYSTEM 3 - Connected but mainly unused
Denon AVR 886 connected to JBL N24's which are flown in the eaves outside the garage door. I would connect an iPod to this as a source.
I used to use these to play Holiday Music during Christmas season, but couldn't really get a good timer system in place to shut everything off at the end of the night. I'll still run it every now and then, but it rarely gets used.

Sorry about the rambling, but you asked.

Cheers.

I'm a pellet grill man, myself. I've got a Traeger Pro 780. But I could see that charcoal grill being a thing with me!

I purchased the Fosi amp thanks to your review a few weeks ago and love it. Love the garage too, you have a great setup!

Look up the signal to noise ratios as well as the frequency responses etc of VHS Hi-Fi. You'll be using that vcr more than your cassette deck.

The best thing about those small amp is it's great to test on speakers when you're out thrifting.
also, great to use when you're at hotels

Nothing better than a crown royal and the mixer of your choice or a shot over ice.

Well, my main stereo (and also my second system and lots of other gear) is in my garage.
Everything is used/vintage and sound pretty darn good. But the wife said: it doesn't go into the house, so it stays in the garage. Hopefully, later, we can move to a different place when I can set up a proper "man cave"
Because in the winter, it's tough to go down listen to some records (or tapes, or 8-tracks, or reels)
And it gets even tougher when the winter is super cold and super long just like this year. Thankfully it seems to be over now because I have a pile of records waiting to be listened to.
Cheers.
PS: Craft beer guy, we have some nice local breweries around here. Can't remember if I have ever had CR (at least on its own), more of a single malt kind of guy (the peatier the better hehe)
But when it comes to Old Fashioned, for me it's Rye....I think you have a decent rye whiskey in Canada if I remember well.

I don’t have a garage system but, I do have a system on my porch for when I host “Music on the Porch.” Or I should say I just have speakers at the moment 😃 I just have a pair of Polk Audio Bluetooth speakers and use my iPod. That amp though might be what I need…
