It actually has been said to preform like a beast, powering through apps, no stutter in the interface, the only main issue people have is the camera ( which can be fixed in a update) so if they get this worldwide then they may expect more of a geek audience than they thought.

Correct!!! It physically has a quad core CPU and a quad core GPU. But they applied 2 cores on the cpu for voice and sensors.

I love how they made the on screen buttons more lower and almost the same length as the top chin :)

Just like most smart phones on the market, the Moto x has a proximity sensor that will disable touch input when the phone is in you pocket or by your ear when making a call.

In the US, you can only get a S4 with a quad core. I saw a comparison of the quad core S4 and the octo S4 and they had basically the exact same performance except the quad core had better battery life.
I think this will be a pretty fast phone.

1.can you build your own on the motorola site and order it from there?
2.if you just leave it lying around for a few days will the battery run out or just drop a few percent? thankss

if you put inside your pocket, if the active display comes up, don't you think it will unlock the active display to a menu because from a movement that comes between the pants and the screen ?

its actually got 8 cores. snapdragon processor has dual cores, then its got a quad core adreno GPU. 1 core for language processing and 1 core for battery and background performance. it is a hi spec phone but they arent focusing on marketing it as a geek phone. they want it to be a phone for everyone.

No expandability?? It supports OTG and they make flash drives with a micro USB connector, or you can buy an OTG cable.

All that matters is the pixel density and as long as it's above 300 ppi ("retina", which it is) it's great. 1080p is overkill on a 4.7" screen and will in fact just waste battery life.

That's absolutely true, which makes it unfortunate that it's my only real choice as a verizon customer with no other real option for a relatively stock android experience. But that's what people get for begging for stuff made in the USA.

agree! and when you said it is a fast phone you just zoomed in multiple times on a web page. that isn't how I would know my phone was fast!
