My baby was due on the 16, and i got induced on the 25th. I made 24hrs with induction but my cervix stoped dialating at 6cm and my bby keep going up instead of decending into my cervix. I was losing a lot of energy so they had to rush me to the theatre. I still don't like the idea that i had a cs. Pls what could be the cause? I really wana have a vagina birth next time.

What are your thoughts about stripping the membranes for someone who is aiming for a VBAC? I had a check up today as I’m 38 weeks pregnant and I’m 75% thinned out and no dilation. The amount of cramping, nerve/stomach and back pain I’ve been experiencing for several weeks has been now becoming more intense to where it does prevent me from caring for my son the way I should. I feel guilty for when I have to lay down due to the amount of discomfort.

My heart rate is generally on the higher side and normally while walking climbing stairs it goes around 135-150… I am 33 years old and planning for baby… as you said heart rate is continuously monitored during labour, do you see any challenge in my case and would you like to suggest anything please.

Hello Dr.
I have a question, what do you recommend to keep incision clean? When you have strips? What soap, do you recommend? And the steps to clean it.
Hope to hear from you, thanks. 😊

Hi. I had an emergency csec 3yrs ago and now 30weeks pregnant. The reason was failure to decend but fully dilated within few hrs. Any tips that i could avoid this from happening again as im aiming for VBAC?

Hi doctor, i had a 4th degree tear with my first childbirth, i was 4cm dilated and had gotten an epidural, no vaccum or forceps was used but because of episiotomy, i had to be taken to the operation theatre immediately and a repairing was done. Ive had no incontinence after that and healed well.
Now, Im pregnant again and this time the doctor is suggesting a csection because of the irreparable damage a vaginal birth will cause. What do you reckon is the best option? Im dreading the thought of it and have no idea what to do.

What if I gained more weight but I am so swollen with pitting edema ? It's not actually gained fat per se.... does this increase my chances ? I'm 30 weeks but he's head down.

Hi Davis, my wife is 35.5 weeks and the scan says baby is 3.4 kgs. Our OB has said we would have to get a c-sec as it is a microsomic baby as she has 4-5 weeks left to complete, and the OB says our boy baby may grow 200grms every week. My wife wants to get a normal virginal delivery. She is really worried. Please advise.

Dear Dr, what is your experience with 'Aniball' and 'Epi-no Delphine Plus' birth aiding devices, which prevent skin tearing and shorten birth, the last 2 hours (of pushing) to 20 minutes. The Aniball (promising 'no anal tear') review and Epi-no Delphine Plus (promising 'episiotomy none' ) review, have mums pushing baby out in 3 pushing sessions, 20 minutes (instead of 2 hours of pushing) and first time mums giving birth to post dates babies weighing 4.4kg first time mum with no forceps or episiotomy. First time mums are giving birth to 'back to back' babies normally i.e. the babies back is towards mum's back (the 'Occipito-Posterior' or 'OP' births), once though to be devastating births, but transformed into normal births with skin stretching. One mum's episiotomy pain resolved completely with 'birth canal widening to 10cm' prior to birth with Epi-no Delphine Plus.
Skin stretching is a technique used in plastic surgery extensively and is applied by the birth aiding devise, to birth medicine. Epi-no Delphine Plus, was developed by the world famous Consultant Obstetrician Mr Welheim Horkell, and went worldwide in 1999 (see YouTube video) and Aniball in 2014. The importance of both devices, is by 'no break in the skin', 'no bacteria get in', so need to use antibiotics. So bacteria cannot get resistant to yet another antibiotic. So antibiotics continue to work for you in your retirement, when you will need them; and for our children and grandchildren. "Don't break skin, don't let the bug in". Caesarean sections involve giving every C/section mum a dose of antibiotics as you make the cut in the skin. This encourages antibiotic resistance.
The Friedman curves included small babies, particularly twin babies, which do not require 10cm diameter opening to exit mum's tummy, so are born more quickly. The American Association fought for more time for mum's to labour before they were classified as a failure to progress. There is both thinning of the wall of the neck of the uterus and widening/dilatation going on simultaneously. We should not be looking only at dilation. Once thinning is achieved, widening of the neck of the uterus takes off. Achieving 7cm, when the uterine opening was 3mm originally, is good progress and given more time, progresses in most cases to full dilatation - 10cm.and a natural birth. Sorry, to omit birth aiding devices, is a major omission. They are very good devices.

I had GD with my first I was not dilated at all we went in for induction at 39 weeks, they tried to soften my cervix so they could use pitocin shortly before 24hours and after 3 rounds of the cervix medicine I still had not dialated at all so my Dr did a c section. I have lost 50lbs since birth and weight 30lbs less than pre pregnancy. I would like to have another baby in about 2 years I will be 29 at this point. What could I do to get ready for a successful vbac I do yoga now and eat a 70% plant based diet.
