Those were the dark days of gaming mice, lasers everywhere and DPI overload, thank god there was a shift to optical and 1:1 tracking these days.

I have the DeathAdder 2013, and don't ever plan to get rid of it.

I have a DeathAdder 2013 myself and I must say it is very great. For me, all those buttons are useless. Some may need it, but I dont even use the 2 on my mouse. I dont know the other prices but the DeathAdder is not that expensive for a high-end mouse.

Also I'm kind of a Razer fan :P

Funny thing about this video is that he did not mention prices AT ALL. And prices are a BIG factor when choosing which hardware to buy.

i was hoping this would be a more general buying guide rather than a product showcase.

But while I'm here, anyone have an opinion on the ROCCAT Savu?
I'm new to the whole "gaming mouse" thing but from some browsing it caught my attention. I'm used to playing on a good ol' 3 button clunker, particularly small mice have given me issues particularly with cramping, but I'm not a big fan of particularly heavy mice either. I'm apparently a claw user. I'd prefer to stay under $100 so the $50 Savu seemed pretty attractive as what might be quality on a budget.
Thanks in advance.

I got the Corsair M95 and I absolutely love it.  I almost exclusively play FPS and RTS games and I find all those buttons on the side are great for pressing buttons normally on the keyboard (so I don't have to take my hands off WASD) and the front-left buttons are great for switching DPI/sensitivity on the fly

This is not a buyers guide, this is just one big sponsored commercial showing multiple gaming mice.

Why the hell is DPI so important when I see a lot of hardcore gamers on youtube running around @400dpi (e.g FrankieonPC)? Why have 8200 dpi? That means one twitch with your arm spins you 720° or what? I never get it. I have a wireless 1000dpi mouse and I don't see a problem. Please someone explain.

My best mouse I use now, is the Mad Catz Cyborg Gaming Mouse 7, it works perfectly, no lag and the normal dpi, not much of the biggest deal, but costumizable grip, palm rest, pinky rest and thumb adjustments!
I just love it.

Best gaming mouse for large hands? I have the Anker 8200DPI mouse and I love it except its slightly too heavy and the left and right click kinda suck.
