I agree, Schneider does have a good tanker training program. I also started with Schneider, then moved on from there.

I'm almost done with my year but I'm definitely looking into being a tanker driver from what I see they get the best home time and for me it's not about making crazy money it's about balance.

I already had experience driving Trailers, but not tankers. Schneider will give you special training for tankers, because you do need special training driving tanks, especially in the winter months, it can be dangerous boys and girls. I can tell you if you have a few years under your belt of sitting behind that wheel, you will be treated fairly with this company. I have about 15 years under my belt, but i became 100% disabled because of my Military service years ago. I had a massive heart attack from Agent Orange because of my two tours in Vietnam, but i would still do it again even knowing what I know today. I am 71 years old today and sorry i couldn't go on with Schneider's when i wanted to.

There's two kinds of tanker jobs. Tankers that deliver gas and diesel, all on road driving. Then there is the tanker work I do, for 30 years now. Oil patch tanker. Off road, lots, and I mean lots of chain up. Going to remote batteries and Riggs. That's where the real money is. I drove in hills so steep ya need a cat to hook on to. Completely different work than what's described here.
