That was brilliant how the thieves in the back never said a word. Typical shitty movies fall into a cliche where the moronic thieves would be jabbering in the back saying stuff like "go faster" "get us out of here" "what are you doing" "there onto us" and just a ton of idle white noise banter that other film makers think adds to the intensity but just detracts from the scene.

love this scene. makes me laugh when he parks at the Staples center and immediately gets out and walks away. like "Later. My Job's done. Good Luck!" - comes across perfectly without the need for any dialogue...

This is still such a gem of a movie. This and Nightcrawler have to be up there with my favorite movies. Shining examples that not everything new is bad.

GTA + Hotline Miami = Drive
This was that gem of a movie I caught on the big screen one afternoon at matinee...looked different, blew away my expectations. This opening scene was beautifully shot and suspenseful, ALL before the title. So once the opening credits came up I was already impressed. The soundtrack, the subtle acting, the shots of L.A.
I walked out of that theater with my only complaint being that none of my friends cared to see the movie. I kept thinking "damn I want to show all of my friends this, they would probably love it".
Then again it's almost a movie you appreciate far more when watching it alone, paying attention to it's steady slow pace.

I don't know why, but it's so pleasuring watching how the guy that was driving the car ended getting out like nothing happened, also he never said a freaking word in the entire scene, he just did his job, that's so awesome
