14:50 Another important reason Turkey wants Russia out of Crimea is the Crimean Tatars. The Crimean Tatars are considered to be the indigenous people of Crimea, most of them are Muslim and they speak primarily a Turkic language. During Stalin's reign, the entire population of Crimean Tatars were deported to Uzbekistan, and about half of them died. However after Ukraine became independent, they allowed the Crimean Tatars to move back to Crimea as citizens of Ukraine. In 2014 Crimea Tatars were nearly 20% of Crimea, and they have faced brutal oppression under Russian occupation over the last 8 years.

In 2022, most people of Crimean Tatar descent actually live in Turkey, possibly as many as 6 million people in Turkey. So there is a fairly sizable ethnic minority in Turkey who want to see Crimean Tatars liberated from Russian occupation. So that also plays into the politics of Turkey.

As a Turkish citizen, my materyal Side came to Anotolia from Daghestan now a state in Russian Federation. They fight against russians for centruries. Also my paternal Side lost a lot of young men in the wars with russia, araps, bulgarisns etc. l am not talking about goverments, foreign affairs but every Real Turkish men don't forget or forgive thassar of russia, you made a good documantary.

When I first saw the TB2 I was thinking it was hardly better than a large civilian drone. Only good enough for burning a truck. Wrong! Impressive results from taking out tanks to ships on the move.

The drone is not easy to detect as it is much smaller than fighter jets, has a propeller drive which generates little heat unlike turbines, the drone has a radar jammer which greatly degrades ground penetrating radar, and drone detection is also difficult, if the radar is not installed on a hill, mountain or high-rise building, the range drops enormously due to the curvature of the earth.

An interesting and thought provoking summarisation about Turkey. Thankyou. I'll add my bit with my farmer head on. Turkey has a young growing population that needs feeding, Ukraine is a huge country with vast areas of fertile ground, producing an enormous amount of produce. It makes complete sense to support your neighbour in this case.

Little addition in Ukraine-Turkey relationship. Baykar Machina (company that makes TB2 drones) also started development of newer heavy Bayraktar Akinci drone, which uses engines made by Ukrainian company "Motor-Sich". So it's not just trade but also weapons development partnership.

In even more addition - Turkish policy has changed from being neutral to being more in favor of Ukraine as well.

Excellent summary. Good use of the age chart - would have loved to see one for Russia as well. The 3 weapons systems you mentioned are all excellent - but my vote for favorite is the TB2. Having that eye in the sky is what makes the effectiveness of the Javelin and NLAW so awe inspiring. Ditto taking out Russian Navy assets. Just amazing. Loved the humor of the Russian tanks going off to die. That could go viral all by itself!
