China’ military spending is less than 2% of its GDP (the official figure is even lower, 1.3%). The figure of the US is 3.4%. Then you talks about China as a threat when there are dozens of US military bases around China and China’s military is thousands miles away from the US soil.

Meanwhile our army is being cut to within an inch of its life and morale is lower than ever. Sort it out Boris!

China already is a superpower. No other country wants to go up against that much political and economical power, let alone a military of that size

Need to adjust those spending figures for PPP.

There is no China threat but they are building up their military capabilities because they have the 3rd biggest land area, the second biggest population and the first or second biggest economy so obviously they understand by past experience that a country needs to be able to defend it's territory, it's people, it's trade and investment overseas etc because they made the mistake of not worrying about the West 150-200 years ago and they paid for being too weak to defend itself.

PS the PLA-Navy has 3 full size CV type carriers and 3 medium size Helicopter carriers/Assault Ships LSH type (the Type 075) so they actually have 6+ carrier you ships and not just one as the video claims.

The Chinese navy is already sailing around the world, and it also has the world's largest merchant navy for logistics.

A lot of people are saying that it won't survive actual combat as they haven't seen any serious combat operations...in forever. Now, for sure, they will struggle at first, they will however adapt despite an awful start and they'll be left with a very well-drilled military and all these assets. It's worth talking about those drills, as their excellent looking drills are so perfected, they can't be done so well in combat when urgency is needed.

The fact we know this is a asset in itself. Cyber attack capacity, aircraft carriers, space, robotics, automation, the metal storm, global strategic capabilities- what the UK need to gain and maintain, the art of war is of vital importance to the state it is a matter of life and death a matter of no account can be neglected.🤯🧠💱 Actual defence spending I think needs as the case could be argued be financed through tax exporting.🧠🤯

Military spending is a poor indicator.... The US spends alot but is not very efficient. Look at what china has accomplished with their spending... Not apples to apples.

This is why wars are inevitable the "desire" to be the worlds most powerful "military" power and as there are different political systems and countries do not "trust" each other all combined this makes war inevitable.

It’s only a matter of time before they view Australia as prime real estate for its vast resources.
