Launching and Landing the Bebop 2 by Hand

There was some discussion of the safety and utility of launching and landing a Bebop drone by hand, and I wanted to demonstrate how simple and reasonably safe it is.
It's a good skill to have if you're on rough, uneven, wet, or otherwise unsuitable ground. Note that when you press the Land button, the props spin faster for a couple of seconds. It's important to hold on tight until they stop.

Very Good Tim. I did try that "once" and ended up with cuts in my fingers. Thanks for the lesson and God bless.

I agree that hand launching is perfectly safe, if wearing protective eyewear (could have mechanical failure at launch), but I still disagree with landing. An easy solution is to grab one of those folding cheap ten buck landing pads from amazon and if you need to you can also roll up a thin memory foam mat about the same size as the landing pad and toss it underneath. Memory foam when squished rolls up really tiny for transport and can provide a softer landing while staying safe.
