The R1T is priced about $20k below what it needs to be. Either they raise the price or they have to cheapen up the product....a lot.

Ford has a $40K lightning. Rivian is in trouble.

Just got my delivery this week of my R1T, so far I'm blown away by this truck. I think having 20B in the bank will secure the company's survival. They have to be a bit more leaner and more strategic and they will do fine. Like you said other EV start ups would wish to have 5k cars on the road today.

IDK why they want to release/talk about a lesser price model coming out so soon. It makes me think of Hudson the pistol company that went bankrupt because people stopped buying the already present model and started waiting for the next lower priced model that they were going to release. This made the company cash dry out and eventually fold. Although, it seems with Rivian, they have sufficient cash in hand to stem a few loss making years.
