I've had an idea for a Logitech mod and you're the guy that could pull it off.

I think a wire brake on a bicycle could be used to make a 'real' clutch for the gear shifter. All you do on a bike is pull a wire that then applies the brake on a bike. Attaching the wire in a different place would invert that process, attach the brake pads around the bottom of the shifter then simply attach the wire to the clutch pedal. Then when you press your clutch pedal it would pull on the wire releasing its grip on the shifter, let go and it would apply it again.
