Should I Do AV Consulting?

I've heard it said that if people in your community are naturally and consistently asking for your help with certain types of work you may want to start a business in that line of work. I think there is some truth in that but I also think people like free help.
If I were to setup an AV consulting business perhaps the requests would stop coming in so frequently. I'd still want to volunteer on some level too. I think some day I might want to do AV consulting for churches and small businesses, not sure if I'm ready for that just yet. Just thinking out loud as I drive. What do you think?
