As an African/Black person (🇳🇬) anyone is free to do braids I don't see why it should be labeled as cultural appropriation.

IT’S JUST A HAIR STYLE. HAIRSTYLES ARE NOT OWNED BY

Box braids or any other hairstyle are not owned by anyone. Black people frequently use braids to keep their curls safe, but that doesn't mean they own the style. Everyone may use it as long as no one owns it.

I wouldn’t recommend people without the right hair type to wear box braids because it can damage their hair

A day will come in which speaking a language will be considered cultural appropriation and we will no longer be able to communicate. It seems like I'm exaggerating, but things are truly out of control with these accusations for everything. I'm from the Dominican Republic and if I see someone other than a Dominican saying they invented Merengue, I'd see it as appropriation, but a person from any nationality singing and dancing Merengue makes me feel proud and full of joy. I've seen japanese people singing Merengue and for me that's the best. Have you noticed that most people complaining about cultural appropriation don't even belong to the culture they claim is being appropriated?

As an African myself, I don't disagree. It's a hair style

한국인들은 그런거 몰라요.. 그런 문화적 배경은 관심도 없고, 알지도 못해요.. 괜히 논쟁 만들지 말아요..

Yeah, it's a predominately black hairstyle that goes way back in African/African American culture. But it's also a hair style that anyone can wear, and in comments I see from Black and African people on TikTok and here who have shown their face or hands before do not have a problem with it.
Personally, I'd say stop being as harsh on her, I mean she hasn't even debuted yet and she's already in a controversy. But she also probably knew this wouldn't have taken too nicely on the media now that people really know her name and face.

I think it's worse to say the box braids are for black people because I feel it separates us and tell us you can't do that but you can do this only because your of a certain race. Does anyone agree?

Everybody claiming that these are box braids are the problem to start with you’re going to try to cancel somebody and don’t even know what the hairstyle they’re wearing is😅, also, if you want to get down into the nitty-gritty to claim every braided hairstyle as box braids is more inherently racist (I don’t think you are but in comparison) than somebody wearing them imo💃 genuinely no hate to anybody, but to try, and say that she is a bad person and racist for wearing these as a child as an act of appreciation because she thought it was pretty I understand being upset and frustrated, but to go lengths to claim that she’s racist is way out of bounds people really need to stop jumping to conclusions as if this is the Olympics really it just chalks down to a kid liking a hairstyle not realizing the gravity or that it would hurt anybody because I bet you if she thought it would offend anybody she would not have done it❤
