Nice work. So called experienced contractors sometimes use no dams or make a simple broken fold and seal the corner with caulk that might last 5 years. If these head flashings leak off the edge, unless the window and house framing are very well taped it’s a real problem and in any case it’s alot of water behind the siding.

Why wouldn't you fold the material outward to maintain the single width of the material instead of lapping it on itself and having 3x the material width behind the dam ?

Gee, those are pretty good sheet metal skills. I wonder how long I took to memorize that pattern of marking, cutting, and folding.

Curious, why you wouldn't put the "ear" created by the folding process inside the standing portion of your end damn. The end damn will perform properly either way, but when the flashing is attached against membrane the potential to damage the vapor barrier is present. Personally I teach people to swing the "ear" out, instead of behind the flashing. Other than that, great video bud!
