UPDATE! Starting September 28, 2024, US visa applicants in the Philippines need to schedule TWO appointments:

APPOINTMENT 1: BIOMETRICS ENROLLMENT

First, an applicant must secure an appointment for the biometrics collection at the Visa Application Center (VAC). The what? You read it right: Visa Application Center or VAC. This is where you will have your photo taken and your fingerprints scanned BEFORE your interview at the U.S. Embassy on Roxas Boulevard.

APPOINTMENT 2: CONSULAR/VISA INTERVIEW

The applicant will then be directed to the page to set the appointment for the visa interview at the U.S. Embassy on Roxas Boulevard.

I applied almost a year ago and got denied. I agree on the side na may desicion na talaga sila before ng interview. They did background checking most specially on your declared accounts coz the time that I checked my status may case created na po talaga then to be update na lang sa interview date. Praying to get approved for my 2nd application this August 19, 2024 got significant changes as well. Hopefully it will all be worth it. 💙

I applied for US visa last 2015 coz I needed to avail the incentive trip given by my company. Honestly di ko pinangarap mag abroad noon. More so, US pa. So I just complied with the appointment setting. So US embassy appearance day come, I was soo chill and not hoping for anything. If di ako pumasa okey lang sa akin. When the long lines started to move na, nakikita ko madami ako nakakasalubong wearing sad faces. Mga nurses pa ang karamihan. Denied sila. So I accepted my fate na ganun din ako. Di ako kinabahan kasi accept kona decline ako. But when it was my turn, the consul just asked ano gagawin ko sa NOLA, and I stated the reason. She got out of her seat and was gone for 5minutes. And when she got back she said, “Okey approved for one week.” Iyon talaga nadinig ko, haha. Pero sa isip ko, luh bakit one week lang? So ibig sabihin di ko halos matatapos ang convention balik Pinas na ako😅. Hahaha. But I was still happy I was beaming going out of the embassy. As soon as I got in the car, pinamalita ko agad ang approval but also my confusion why one week only 😅. Napakalaking ignoramus ko. Haha. It meant I will receive my visa in a week. 😅😅😅😅😅 I was approved single entry for 6months

Ung ds -160 mag 1 yr n on oct 28, di p nagpapasched. Nagkapagbayad na kmi pero un receipt number hindi namin na save and sa bank confirmation ung last 3 numbers lang ang makikita, ung fist 5 naka X. Meron ba sa inyo na nagkaproblema ng ganito? Nag inquire na kami sa FAQ pero walang clear answer. please let us know? Chaka gano katagal ang validity ng DS-160 application. Salamat

Meron na akong prev. account sa ustraveldocs pero di ako makalogin. tried to forgot password then login pero naka blocked daw. Then tried to be a new user pero wala ng Philippines sa select country for visa.

Hello sis ask ko lng po. Yung sister ko na-approved today. Chineck nya yung status sa portal nkalagay approved pero meron dn parang reminder na pwde pa mgbago ang mind ng consul if ever. May ngyre napo ba na kahit approved eh pgbalik ng passport wlang visa? Any info helps po thank you

It's very hard to make appointment for applying tourist or whatever. The portal is always busy and very hard to get in.
