hello friends! By popular request, I give you OIL-FREE green onion oil noodles! Sacrilege? Maybe. But we do what we want!

I tried my best to keep the essence of the dish: sweet rich green onion flavour and the crispy green onion threads mixed with sweet soy sauce infused noodles. Turns out, this version is easier and more hands-off than the regular oil-based dish! I hope you give it a try and enjoy!

i have no desire to cook oil free, just watching to support mary and to hear that these are *my* noodles and there *are* no rules :3

I appreciate the oil free option. There are very good reasons to eliminate oil and so thank you for this recipe.

I am following a drastically reduced oil regimen because I am torn about the bad news I hear about oils and fats and yet the oils impart a flavor or texture to food that can’t be replicated. my new lifestyle has kept my weight down even though I eat huge amounts of food and my LDL cholesterol dropped about 30 points when I eliminated fats and oils. its a conundrum with these recipes though because the green onions recipe is oh so tasty made with the oil …. It’s a balancing act with every recipe. Not easy! Thank you Mary for giving us workable alternatives that are delicious.

This method is so interesting! I would have assumed the onions to become tough that way. Very happy to see they are not!

love to see oil free recipes, not to be completely oil free, but just get a different mouthfeel and experience than the many oil inclusive recipes out there. would love to see some chinese leafy green / vegetable dishes. there's always so many delicious looking greens at the asian supermarket i want to cook with! thank you mary for this video!

I tend towards no oil cooking, due to the high calorie load and low nutritional value. I rarely miss it. But on occasion I will use a spritz of avocado oil, like maybe on the green onions before baking, when I really want some crisp. But that's just me being a rebel, no rules you know!!

i am very full but I still very much want some of these noodles :o So creative to make this oil-free and still maintain the essence of the original good good oily noods.
