Why Lynn min may is not Asian? In fact, she's Chinese in robotech and also in macross.
I can accept rick hunter (robotech)instead of Hikaru (macross), and other characters similar, but not minmay.

Hmmmm.
As an older gent who grew up on this show, I would've "cast" some different people in the models.
I never gave much thought to casting some characters,  but for the Macross forces
(although they're all probably too old now, but at some point in time....)
I think that I'd have cast:
- Dolph Lundgren as Roy Folker
- Vanessa Williams as Claudia.
- Sam Elliot as Captain Gloval
- Lindsay Lohan as Lisa Hayes


As for the Zentradei forces...I'd have just cast mostly WWF, WCW, WWE, etc wrestlers for the general rank & file Zentradei.
But for particular roles, I think that I'd have cast:
- Paul Donald Wright (The Big Show) or Mark "Conan" Stevens as Supreme Commander Dolza
- Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Commander Breetai
- Clint Howard or Armin Shimerman as Minister Exedore
- Lucy Lawless as Commander Azonia
- Johnny Depp as Lord Kyron
- Milla Jovovich as Miriya Parina
- Oliver Platt as Bron
- Bruce Campbell as Rico
- Ashton Kutcher as Khonda

And 2:15, "the relentless Zentradi commander". Just put Jerry Seinfeld. Modern J. Seinfeld not tv classic. He'll look more serious that way. These shouldn't be a tease and a let down. People should know this isn't serious from the thumbnail onwards. Just make it funny. It's not hard to do!

Why does Lisa Hayes looks like Hermione Granger? Although she did play Beauty as well in that live remake. Might be helpful to have a witch on the SDF-1! 😂 I guess those Zentradi (sp?) dont know about that.

Do you think that those souped up fighter planes would really still fly once they transform? I have been pondering that lately as I have been watching those "Mayday" episodes and that led me back to watching Robotech again. Saw it on TV when I was 13 years old! Now I am almost 53.

What about the 3rd Robotech with Lancer? Who would play those characters?

Nicely done! If it's done right, it could work. It was a more serious mature series to begin with anyways. They brought transformers live action, and they really weren't all that great. Made tons of money though. I think this is an untapped resource. But one movie would never cut it, and I don't know what company would take a chance on a trilogy robotech movie lol. A well done mini series would be fantastic, but it will never be done. 2:56

Full Metal Panic is the most underrated robot anime in Japan. Once you become a fan, you'll no longer be interested in Macross or Gundam. Later on, you'll also buy the manga and novels.
