The example of time travel in Puranas is the story of Revathi, wife of Balarama.

Revathi & her father Kakudmi travelled to Brahma's abode to seek his advise on an appropriate groom for Revathi. But upon arriving to Brahma Loka, Brahma told them that already 27 Charturyuga (27 x 4320000 years) had passed on Earth & none of their people were alive back on Earth.

When Kakudmi was startled by this, Brahma comforted him & said that Kaliyug was about to start on Earth & Lord Vishnu along with Balarama was present on Earth. He suggested Balaram as appropriate match for Revathi. When Kakudmi & Revathi arrived back on Earth, everything on Earth had completely changed - from landscapes to cultures & the race of men had diminished in all ways compared to their own time.

Since Revathi was many eons older to Balarama, she was very tall and much larger than Balarama.

There are also many references to the multiverse theory in ancient Hindu texts. Like when Brahma met Lord Krishna's gatekeeper, the gatekeeper asked Brahma that which universe's Brahma is he!
