‘It doesn’t quite add up’: Kamala Harris claims to have celebrated Kwanzaa

Sky News Contributor Kosha Gada says the “problem” with US Vice President Kamala Harris stating to have celebrated Kwanzaa as a child is the “authenticity” in her claims.

“This faith was put into place in 1966 – two years after she was born so the way she frames it doesn’t quite add up,” Ms Gada told Sky News host James Morrow.

“She spent many years of her childhood growing up in Canada, where this was not really a thing.

“Her father is Jamaican … her mother is Tamil Indian – I highly doubt that they were celebrating Kwanzaa around that fireplace.

“I think people know it, but she’s doing it and here we are.”

We expect them to lie about most things most of the time. We demand so little of our leaders that it’s no surprise they behave so badly.

Funny how she was somehow a first Indian woman senator and first black woman VP (also her family line owned slaves but no one ever talks about that)

She's lied about her entire life. She also claimed to be smoking weed while listening to Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls...years before they recorded anything...and what makes this so obscene is that she bragged about smoking weed when she not only incarcerated people for smoking weed, but kept them longer in prison as slave labor for California!
It's just too dirty for words.

She can say and do whatever she wants, and is still in power. More fool the world.

At least, unlike Nancy Pelosi in her last address as House leader on December 23, she didn't wish everyone "a happy Shwanza".

She lied about celebrating Kwanzaa as a child 2 yrs before the religious holiday was even created. Isn't it traditionally a Black / African holiday ? Her parents are Indian & Jamaican, they migrated to Canada, she later attended primarily white schools & college in California. For his part, Joe Biden has made wild claims on his heritage depending on the target audience of the day : First Irish, then Italian by marriage, having bi-racial grandparents, raised in a Puerto Rican household. Claims to have been arrested trying to consult with Nelson Mandela, arrested in civil right racial marches in Alabama. Both were lies. Claimed to have been offered an athletic football scholarship to the US Naval Academy but declined it because he didn't want to take Roger Staubach's spot. SO NOBLE OF HIM. First of all, there are no offered scholarships to USNA, enrollment is by US Senatorial appointment only. Second, Staubach had already graduated 2 years prior. Most recently, as Vice President in 2008, the claim that he awarded his Uncle Frank a long overdue Purple Heart from World War II. Trouble is that the uncle died in 1999 & there is no military record of him ever being worthy of receiving such a distinguished honor. That lie was made in front of an honored US Veteran's Day memorial assembly. Such a disgrace & embarrassment !!!

I used to be surprised at Kamala's ignorance for someone in her position, but then I listened to the democrat side of a debate, on gun control I think it was, in the house, and now I'm amazed at the depth of her knowledge as compared to the average Democrat politician.

The guy who invented it, Maulana Karenga, in 1966 was jailed for torturing his wife . So I guess it is a celebration of their culture .

Does anyone actually celebrate Kwanzaa for real?

She celebrated all the nonexistent made up holidays. Kwanzaa, national Canada day, Indian Santa's birthday all of them without exception.

Kwanzaa was inspired by a barbaric savage zulu ritual with a black bull sacrifice in the king's kraal as young zulu's work together to kill the animal without weapons.
