These Granite Stones have been recorded in fron of the Pyramid of Sahure at Abusir, Egypt.
What could be the explanation for these tool marks?

I’ve had to drill a hole with a bit in a granite to mount a stone on a granite base in the cemetery. It takes a long time to bore out a hole. It’s not easy. These people must of had some sort of diamond coated bits and blades

Diamonds and Egyptian stonework

Be aware these people had ready access to diamonds. Diamonds were discovered in many parts of Africa in modern times just laying on top of sand, in ancient stone age times there would have been many more and most likely big ones. I would expect that diamond would have been considered the best stone working tool and was used to great effect along with water to cut, grind and polish stone. They hand thousands of years of complete supremacy in their region which provided perfect peaceful lawful conditions for their artisans and engineers to devote lifetimes to very specific tasks.
The cut marks and core holes you see today that look very much like modern tool marks were actually caused by modern machines that have been used by looters, archaeologists, museums etc over the last 150 odd years. Many of these machine marks are just workers practicing with the tools while others are from where they have removed items.
Or
They had modern tech back then or someone before them but there is just zero evidence or anything ever recorded and no remains of this equipment has ever been found.
Of course you could argue that nobody has found evidence of diamond tools they used over 5000 years ago either, I wonder why?🤔💎💍🤣

There was a big granite stone with a perfectly cut round hole...
However, the construction workers, and sculpturers must have attempted
to mold other rocks into designs but left what they did not use.
(There were no women to sweep up their mess)
