One tutorial I would find really useful is showing how best to deal with multi disc games. How to easily load them, and how to do it so a game only appears once on the game list. I'm particular interested in Amiga.

You should mention the platform. This doesn't apply to Batocera across the board. Only x86.

I've been in Hell now for 3 days with Batocera. I switched to re-dream like you said and now instead of just having ROMS that won't load, I have roms that won't load and then my controller becomes unresponsive and I have to disconnect the controller and plug it back in will make it work again. That didn't happen until I switched to Re-dream (which works fine on windows but is broken on this OS).

Everytime batocera boots up, it hangs for over 75 seconds up on the ZX81 system even though I have no games for that system. I even deleted the folder and Batocera keeps doing the assed scan and rebuilding the empty folder.
I just tried what you suggested here and NONE of my Dreamcast roms work. same with ALL my N64 Roms. Even all though all play fine with stand alone emulators in Windows.
This software is is SOFA King buggy, it's killed any joy I had for gaming.
And after 40 years of it, that's quite an "accomplishment".

Im running batocera on a raspberry pi 4. Ive been able to run psx and snes games with no issues. However, I would like to play dreamcast but it isnt listed as an emulation option when scrolling through the home screen. I go to MAIN MENU -> GAME COLLECTION SETTINGS -> SYSTEMS DISPLAYED and it only shows 10 different consoles to pick from, none of which are Dreamcast. However, when I go onto my windows 10 pc to copy some roms over and connect to my rpi 4 with batocera, Dreamcast is listed there for me to be able to copy games over. I cant seem to find it anywhere in the actual batocera software. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

How do i actually keep the configurations to redream?

Everytime i launch a game, itll open, but the buttons are all over the place, and i bave to plug a keyboard in to configure the controllers and then play comfortably, but then when i save and exit, everything i just did wont save

I dont understand the relationship between game res and window res. For example: How is it possible to see 4k res if your window res is only 1080?

i need some help, i install the 5.30 directly to a flash drive and HDD and each time once it was installed shows only 6gb for user data when in fact i use 3TB hdd wth is wrong

using asrock 4800 dont know why the redream emulator has alot of artifacting but when play using a different emulator theres no artifacting

I'm not sure how powerful of a system you need for redream. I have had better luck with retroarch on lower systems.
