Nice to see someone taking security and safety seriously, especially having spent so much on a scooter :)

In my opinion if you’re going over 40-50km/h you should be wearing a lightweight motorcycle helmet instead, they do exist, they’re just not cheap. They do however provide a different kind of safety.

First off, I am NOT negating or arguing ANY point in this video. I am merely sharing my experiences so far with my particular scooter.
The Emove Cruiser has an optional storage box that mounts over the rear wheel, which I bought, and it holds the multi-tool and charger with room for a hammock or windbreaker or rain jacket or whatever third item I feel I need for that day. Few scooters have this option so I guess I'm just bragging, mostly wanted to point it out.
As for headlights, there are many that come with their own rubbery type of mounting band that can attach to nearly any spare part of the handlebars. My scooter had basically ZERO real estate left in the cockpit, directly out of the box, so I mounted one of these with no extender necessary; maybe you can as well. As for the phone, I find that the audible verbal prompts from the mapping app work just as well on complicated winding bike trails as much as they do in a car on the road so I just leave my phone in my pocket where that expensive thing belongs.
Last, but not least, I found a cable lock with a built in alarm; key fob and all, just like a car's alarm. Able to be cut for sure, with the proper tool, but the alarm scares people and draws the eyes of any other people nearby and thieves do not like eyes on them so they tend to bail. I've actually seen it happen on my scooter twice now and they both literally ran away.
Anyway, those are my thoughts I felt the need to share but, if you have little knowledge of such things, PLEASE follow ALL advice in this video.

Might get those Strata for non-sunny ski days!

You missed out a great accessory. A handlebar-mounted SAM battery to take care of any pesky ah-64 Apaches or su-35 fighter planes. I picked one up off Amazon for only £5.50 and it really makes a difference

It's the law in Florida to have eye protection, but it's also common sense. I can't think of any reason to look at a phone while scooting, but I'm an old man. And as far as security goes, I always keep my scooter with me wherever I go. Good video though, but I love the simplicity of just riding. I always bring my backpack, so I need something I can put it in there. A multi tool, bottle of water, etc.
Nobody ever mentions a rear view mirror, which I find essential. Thanks for the vid!

I would 100% recommend wearing a full face helmet when you're going at 17-20 mph. I recently gotten into an accident on my shooter and fell face first 18 mph on the pavement, luckily i had a full face helmet on so i was fine, am sure i would have a dislocated jaw or become unconscious. 17-20 mph is pretty fast so be careful

I recommend knee pads. If you go down your knees will likely be involved in making contact with the pavement. I would never recommend a cell phone holder. If you crash, your phone may cost as much as your scooter. Plus, cell phones are a distraction. I recommend a small digital clock for those who commute. I don't recommend riding in the dark, ever! Daytime driving is dangerous enough.

Holy cow, you’re going fast. I’m glad that you’re wearing the full helmet.

the one thing i would recommend is never leave ur scooter locked up anywhere most stores/shops will be cool if you leave it in the store in a safe place cuss im sure they know how much the cost

Can’t stop giggling about the name on your pump. “BŌG” means gay man in Swedish. 😂❤️

A military pt belt is another amazing thing to have

You can either wrap it around you or your backpack & be move visible

Just a quick suggestion and it’s probably overkill. Got a motorcycle brake alarm that should help prevent unwanted theft. It’ll surely make a lot of noise before someone actually is able to steal your Mantis. Just a suggestion though. But i want that Mantis so bad. Where did you purchase yours. Thanks!

I carry a small, electric pump and for my front wheel, an extra innertube. (The back wheel's innertube is probably too hard to change). Also, a small adjustable wrench, a small flashlight, a plastic bag, and a small insulated lunch bag, that I carry water and an icebag, to be able to get frozen or refrigerated store items. And I also carry a pen, a cheap camera, and back LED light, that I have running at all times (except when parked).

Goggles are a must. I get dust. Plus I have had a tree limb slice my eyeball

Mountain biking helmets are not designed for impacts on faster scooters. You need the Motorcycle full face helmets if yours goes over 20Mph.

To think this 4 year old video still holds up to the standards of today. I’ve had my scooter for a month now. I’ve put about 500+ miles on it with no issues. Just got a few accessories for it (rear mount, extra tail lights, mirror and a phone mount. Definitely need to invest into a pump and the slime 🫡 no flats yet but I’d rather have and not need than need and not have it 😅 kinda want blinkers on it but can’t find anything worth buying.
