If you are still struggling after watching this video, consider lesser known undertones like olive undertones, peachy undertones, and golden undertones. Keep in mind that even these undertones can be subcategorize as cool, neutral, and warm.

What makes it hard is being a tan/brown girl with a cool undertone. SO MANY brands don't have cool enough shades that are also dark enough on me. It'll be my darkness but too warm or my undertone but too light. And I'm not even considered dark brown. It narrows down the choices I have so much

Best explanation yet on here! I’ve spent years trying to explain to people how to get their perfect shade and use similar explanations. So many people on here just tell people to swipe it on their face to make it disappear. That’s not necessarily the best way because people have many different colours on their faces sometimes, including redness in areas etc. actually matching your chest is often better than just the face!

when i was still a beginner at makeup and knew nothing about undertone whatsoever just asked the lady at the makeup store which foundation would suit me and she recommended me one that was TWO SHADES DARKER and had a completely different undertone 💀 alas i didn't know better so i bought it and spent the next 2 years with my face darker than the rest of my body 💀 your video would prevent a lot of people from going through the same thing i did, so thank you! ❤

I remember when I was getting my foundation and the lady gave me one that she claimed was my perfect match. I could have sworn it was orange but when I blended it out it was perfect. Just looked at my veins now and everything is green 😂. This makes a lot of sense

I agree with all except the sunburn comment. My daughter is most definitely cool and she can tan. She gets pale in the winter but tans really easily. I’m a warm or neutral redhead and I also tan but I can burn sometimes. It’s because I’m Irish and Native American.

I am warm, red undertones w/green veins. so warm /holden wotks for me.

My skin is weird. I have purple/blue veins, no green, but I tan extremely easy. I can also pull off both silver and gold jewelry. I'm pretty neutral but my veins say otherwise lol
