Awesome kit man! I made a kit like this not too long ago. I used a Handgrenade pocket/pouch to make a kit inside of. I actually got 80+ items inside there. If you want to see what I have in it I did a video on it. Ask for the link if you want to it. Some things that are different from yours is a bandana, p-38 can opener, snare wire, a needle, mini fishing kit, bouillon cubes, fresnel lens, a paper clip, wire ties(for making button rock tie-off points for the Mylar blanket), a coffee straw, button compass, and glow in the dark paracord. These things could definitely help in a pinch. Some things I may add are those collapsible bags and water purification powder. I didn't know there was a powdered version. I was always worried about the tablets getting crushed, especially if I put it in my wallet survival kit.

Great to see the Leatherman Surge in a pack finally.

In my personal experience it really is the most useful of the multitools that's worth carrying. In over 5 years it's handled everything I've thrown at it. A very versatile tool indeed.

I've two similar diamond sharpeners in my EDC bag. The tapered and a half round one. They're great for field dressing a blade.

You can never have enough fire kit too ;)

Pity the pouch has been discontinued as it looks way more useful than the replacement one.

Hope the 30 day challenge is going well and that you're both enjoying yourselves.

Only stuff I would add is a couple of Birthday Candles inside your Tinder Bag, a Button Compass and weave some Orange Flagging Tape through the MOLLE. Thanks again and Take Care.

You prove a point that I am always bringing up that when people are reluctant to have a kit, I always say you can create a kit in a small package, so there is no excuse not to have some kind of kit.

Awesome vid I love this stuff!!! I love the passion you give when showing your work you can tell your no beginner! This gives us all great inspiration and gets me stoked! Read some comments, I think you have a small EDC covered as far as items but one thing, maybe some foods? Maybe a few sticks of gum, or a few hard candies, or those small sticks of jerky? Put some sugar or protein in your blood can help. Always looking forward to more great vids!!!

Awesome kit! I always like to carry a set of fingernail clippers and some good tweezers. You and Zach are at the "hump day" of your 30 day challenge! Hope all is going well!

Thanks for the vid. I've had an Anemone kicking around for ages. You inspired me to build a fire kit. Small folding wood stove, Bic lighter, firestarters, Ferro Rod, Magnifying glass and water filter tabs. The folding stove actually flattens out the anenome. One of my issues with was always it was too blocky and not 'flat' enough. Seems like the Barnacle might actually naturally solve that issue by ditching the bulky front pouch (which I rarely use...might chop it off carefully on my side of the stitching).

So I like your pack and in sure you can survive with it but I do have a few changes. For fire starting I just keep a stick of fat wood and a light my fire firestarter. Takes less room. I have a no name spork with a whistle in it if put on it. I would add duct tape which is available in super small rolls that can fit. Good job on your first aid. Overall I'm not crapping on your kit. I just would do a couple of things different. It's a great kit and is awesome. Love your use of the mini meatloaf pan. Super smart. I think the best is you used a Maxpedition pouch for it. All of my heart from them had got most of the continents hard and still looks almost new. Good job overall. Keep it up!
