A normal treatment of seborrhoiec dermatitis is use of a ketoconazole shampoo. However do not use it for a long period of time. As it dries the scalp and some patients complain of hair fall after the use of ketoconazole shampoo. So it is better to wet the scalp. So when you are using ketoconazole shampoo, wet your scalp, apply the ketoconazole shampoo, let it later, wait for 3 – 5 minutes, wand then rinse it off and for the hair you can use a normal shampoo if you have a longer hair, you can use a milder shampoo. Initially we use the ketoconazole shampoo on a daily basis. Once the dandruff is controlled, you can use every alternate days, then later twice a week and then once a week. When you stop the ketoconazole shampoo, there is a recurrence of the dandruff which is why we taper it and use it once a week, and you may need to increase it or decrease it. Sometimes thee ketoconazole shampoo stops working, that is it becomes resistant. So get alternatives to this shampoo from a dermatologist.

Ur last advice is the best. At first, ketomac worked like a magic. Within a month (3 washes) my dandruff disappeared. I had the cleanest scalp ever. Then I wud use it once a month n no problm. But suddenly (whn I had almost stopped using) dandruff n itchiness returned and ketomac just stopped working evn whn I m using it once a week. I will take ur advice n shift to nizoral n other stuff

I used T-Gel and now currently using T-sal shampoo and they're both in my opinion T-sal is more convenient cuz t-gel is stronger and I cannot go under the sun for 24hrs and it does dry my skin after a while
