Based on your Carmax quote, I took my 2020 C8, LT2 non Z51, 16, 100 miles, into my local CarMax dealer. Took about 15 minutes and they said I could hang out for about 45 minters to get my quote or I could take off and they will email it to me. So I said email it to me and left. I paid $70, 700 for the car 19 months ago. I opened my CarMax email. $86, 000 offer. I am going to take it. Almost $16, 000 profit. AWESOME. My Chevy dealer offered me $80, 000. I do have a 2022 hardtop convertible on reserve with the new Kerbeck dealer but they say it maybe June 2022 for delivery. I am cool with that.

Look into trading it to the dealer you bought the C8R from and avoid the capital gains from the Carmax deal. Trading to the dealer for less than $85K could save money on taxes from your new purchase and avoid capital gains from profits of the old car sale.

Damn dude, I'm impressed that you followed through with the selling of your C8. It's not about the Corvettes holding their value, it's like that industry wide. Great to hear you got an allocation! You let me sit in this car at Willow on your first track day—the first time I’d seen the C8 in person. I was driving the Shock ‘19 Camaro 1LE. Sold that car(and got real good money for it w/14k miles) and got an allocation for a ‘22 SS 1LE in Vivid Orange. TPW 9/20(but supply chain issue looming). See you at the track and good luck!

Holy shit! That’s great! I got a 3lt full spec C8 I’ve been tossing the idea around about selling but mine only has 7500 miles on it. I’d want at least 100k for mine if I was to sell. But I’m holding it for now until the z06 comes out. Great deal! Can’t wait to see you next C8!
