Jeez I just built and priced out a King Ranch, even without the hybrid still got to $78k while missing a few options. That’s a $1250 monthly payment over 5 years with 20% down. So realistically if youre not making over $150k, you cannot afford one.

I hear a lot of people complaining about the cost of a new truck. Have you seen the price of used one's? I tend to keep my vehicles for 10+ years, so I ordered a new King Ranch and I'm happy with my choice.

No way do not waste your money, invest it in an appreciable asset especially if you are young…. Just buy a XLT with a few special features that you might like……………

I have an f150 on order and I opted for the work surface. We frequently take road trips and stop to eat along the way. The work surface will make it much easier to eat in the vehicle which is usually one of my most hated things to do. Also, due to the nature of my job I have to do a lot of writing of reports or evaluations. The work surface gives me the option to work effectively while I’m waiting for the kids to finish up practice or I am in between appointments.

I LOVE the King Ranch but I opted for a fully optioned Lariat instead. When I built them both with the same exact options and the King Ranch was still 5k more. I couldn’t bring myself to spend 5k more just because I like the entire and the thought of pretending to be a cowboy 😂

I have a 2016 King Ranch chrome package and I just love it. It does not have all the options of a 22 but it is still a great truck and worth it.

I personally would enjoy seeing more reviews of trucks for the average person. I'm not paying a car note higher than my mortgage.

At this rate xlt's are gonna be $75k in 4-5 years, hell they already in the low 60s from what I've seen that was fully loaded every option lariat trim a generationago and not including the $10k+ off in rebates. Can't wait to see who reaches $100k first for half ton pickup(excluding raptor, trx)

Just purchased a 2022 King Ranch Coming from a 2021 xlt Powerboost. Love the new truck. The work surface I use all the time!

If you want a truck for truck purposes buy a work truck package when you order. You can order the 5.0 engine, tow hitch and bed liner for under 40K. If you want a 4 wheel drive limousine and have the checkbook for it, the King Ranch is your "truck"...

I own a 2021 F-150 Limited Powerboost and it stays in the shop (I just got it back after being out of commission for over month for the 2nd time) The problem is all of this great innovative tech makes these trucks less dependable. Blue Cruise appears lightyears behind GM's Super Cruise when watching Andre's latest Silverado High Country test drive. Blue Cruise, the truck meanders in the lane from side to side, doesn't take turns well, causing the driver to take the wheel and biases to the inside passenger-side of the lane, which Big Rigs are also bordering next to you. Absolutely terrifying at times. The infrared sensors also don't work at night to see your face and causes the system to shut off (It cannot see through glasses and prompts you to watch the road. I've tried lifting my glasses to my forehead and it tricks the system temporarily, but then I eventually have to remove my glasses and not too long after it doesn't detect that I am watching the road, glasses or not and shuts off after several prompts to watch the road) How Ford got the ok to release this system to the masses is beyond me. With that said, it's best vehicle I've ever driven when everything is working correctly. It glides downs the road with a sense of polish and sophistication that even the most luxurious cars in the world lack. The acceleration is unmatched by anything not named TRX. The 7.2 KW generator works better than advertised, as I powered an entire Hollywood level film crew and production off the back of my truck in the New Mexican Mountains. There's not another vehicle on the planet that can make that claim. I also use the work surface as we always work from the road. I will say the Wi-Fi in this truck does not work as well as GM's LTE 4G Wi-Fi and has problems connecting to certain devices, especially my wife's work computer. Sync 4 is a huge improvement over Sync 3, but even still most of the apps such as Glympse do not work. You cannot send navigation directions from your phone to your vehicle as advertised. GM's radios are so much better and remain light years ahead, feature for feature. That's my real world take. I drive this truck every day. It's quirks are enough to make me consider getting rid of it, but I really like the 7.2 Kw generator. I waited to pull the trigger on the new Sierra Denali Ultimate and it is now sold out. I am regretting that decision.

So many things Tommy touched on in the vid, it's hard to get to everything lol, but one thing not pointed out was the LED headlights. Picked up a 502A Lariat about 3 weeks ago and they have the same headlights as the KR in this video. They are hands down the best headlights I've ever had in any previous vehicle. They swivel left or right with the turn of the steering wheel, and also self level as well. Driving out in the country at night you feel pretty safe from deer etc as the beam pattern is fairly wide, and very bright. Great vid Tommy!

Any new truck is out of my price range. I’m in my upper 30s with a family. We’re middle class in terms of income. I feel like we make decent money but I can’t justify committing that much of my income to a new truck. Basically car prices have priced me out of even considering anything new or used.

I do like the kingranch. I wish they had more 2 tone colors and a secondary darker brown color.

Because of lack of inventory and general commodity inflation it is hard to get a feel for true price and value. The longer this goes on the higher the chances are that this pricing will become normal to us. (Already has) Things will settle down and we will eventually see full lots and $10, 000 off MSRP incentives again. Right now though you got to pay to play baby!

Worth?? Depends. If you get it and flip it asap, then sure. You're likely to get the same money back, or more in some cases in the current truck market. But if this is a long term investment, you're likely to experience an extreme financial loss since the market does shift, the economy is certain to tumble, and supply chain issues won't always be where they are. I think who will be hurt the most are those who paid over MSRP, which still is unjustifiable for a mainstream vehicle.

O ya I love that table feature I mainly use it for lunch and work

I love those seats. It's about time the upper back area is adjustable. I wish the rear seats could recline individually, middle seat from the passenger seat.

In Ontario Canada, it's easy to spend 90k or more on a King Ranch + the 13%tax we pay

I don’t actually have one of the new trucks with the folding shifter/workspace, but I can tell you I would use it all the time. I’m constantly using my truck as a mobile office with my laptop/folders/scheduling book resting on the arm rest. I am getting a new truck through work this year and honestly I’m very excited to finally have the extra workspace
