While presenting his case on same sex marriage J Sai Deepak said that the judgement a previous case on recognition of 3rd gender cannot be extrapolated for this case, as this one is related to marriage while the other was on Identity.

J Sai Deepak is an Engineer turned litigator who holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, Tamil Nadu, India and in law from IIT Kharagpur, West Bengal.
He appeared as an arguing counsel in the Sabarimala Case on behalf of Lord Ayyappa. He has been one of the key counsel in the matter.
J. Sai Deepak started his career with a NCR based litigation firm, Saikrishna & Associates in July 2009 where in March 2015 he was made a associate partner. His primary area of practice is Corporate Litigation, Competition Law, Arbitration and Constitutional Law and Civil Commercial Litigation.
