Great video. I love that you said "Have some fun." at the end. So many people I see talking about poker these days seem to have forgotten it's supposed to be fun. :)

In tournaments you have to raise, raise, raise, especially from late position. You NEVER open limp. Just don't do it in a tournament. It is not worth it and will put you in difficult positions.

Well said.

I am a cash game player myself which is different from MTTs, but even tight players and nits have to shove preflop on the button at an MTT with 75 suited with only 15 BBs left to steal the blinds

Remember guys, you should raise aggressively, raising passively is a big mistake

If we're talking live I wonder if it would be better to have odd stack sizes, so the villain has a harder time determining your actual size. It could find you walks/folds just simply based on the situation being very close to fold/jam spot and them not wanting to bother with it since it appears to be such a close play. Of course they can always ask for a count but that's the entire point it doesn't really matter if they ask for a count and actually gives away their hand strength being at least marginal comparative to your stack and giving you a better idea if you should be calling or folding. Just a thought, it is a little bit of an angle I guess but not really.

I play smart in tournaments and always do well. I fold allot. call with good cards only. 3 bet with only really strong hands like high pocket pairs. Or suited or not =AK or KQ or QJ or J 10 suited. I'll only all mid range cards if they are suited connecters within a card apart. Like 67 68 78 or 79 suited id call. I rarely call low cards tho cuz that's how you lose. 😂

I see a lot of limping in a live tournament I play every now and then. They do it with 10bb stacks, these braindeads. Even when I'm card dead, I usually manage to at least double up without A friggin showdown, haha.

These tips are absolute garbage. Here’s some real tips
1. Don’t shove AK unless someone else shoved and you’re in late position. If you shove with AK and have 3 other people call, you’re probably dead to a pair.
2. Don’t play small pair in early position. I’m folding 22-44 every single time. Every card that comes up will be an over card and unless you flop trips (unlikely) you’re folding after the flop.
3. Shove good hands in late position. If you have a pair, even small and the table folds to you in the hijack, shove, take down the blinds and antes, you’ll normally get folds from the sb and bb.
4. Don’t bluff with nothing. Don’t take 2 7 and think you can bluff the pot down. With 8 other people at a table, someone will call and have you beat. Turn good hands into bluffs, if you have an open ender, flush draw or over cards, you’re better off betting that for a chance to win even if you get called.

You’re welcome
