Dude, I can’t thank you enough. I took my boat out last two weeks and tune it up, new battery, new fluids I had family and friends come in town last night and planned to hang at the lake all day today and guess what. It won’t start what a bummer until I looked up your video and whammmm fixed it

Dan: Thank you so much! I followed your recommendations, found a very loose wiring cable, greased as directed, reinstalled and clamped it down. Problem solved. Just one add on. My cable was loose, but not disconnected. I suggest people mark the alignment with a contrasting magic marker. This will make it easier to align on reconnection. Thanks again. God Bless!

Thanks mate, I've been to 2 mechanics trying to troubleshoot intermittent starting, one said change the solenoid (did that) one said change the ignition barrel (did that) still no good. Found your vid, jiggled the harness and presto she starts 👍👍

Thanks so much for sharing this, I was going crazy trying to find out why no crank but after watching your video it took me right to the problem, wiring harness unplugged. Last time on the lake it was so rough I could only get to 10 mph so I guess all that bouncing up and down loosen the connection

Thanks...found this in my 2013 - 135 I/o...popped it out, (it was clean), put it back in and it cranked first time.... thanks!

Yup, that plug is often missed while troubleshooting and good parts needlessly replaced. Have seen that happen several times.

Great video, I will be checking this ASAP! My problem is randomly it would crank, and then it won't? I Replaced the ignition switch, starter, and solenoid, and problem is still there from time to time. I'm suspecting this might be it!! Thanks Bro!

That is not the neutral safety switch between the upper and lower shift cables ..The neutral safety switch is located in the throttle/shift control

Was the jumper you did to make the starter turn over just a GO BETWEEN of the two bolts? Just making sure before I try this.
