Propane can be a serious risk on food trucks and other types of mobile kitchens. When propane leaks and builds up inside the truck, it can be ignited by an open flame, hot surfaces or oil, electrical equipment, or other ignition source, causing an explosion. Leaks are one of the top hazards for food truck owners and operators.

This food truck safety video shows how to spot the warning signs of a propane leak in your food truck and learn what to do in the event of a suspected leak.

Pay attention to the warning signs when it comes to propane tanks on food trucks and help keep everyone safe.

I'm working in a food truck. They installed a new tank yesterday and somehow nobody noticed it was leaking.
I went outside and could hear it first, then I smelt it.
You could feel it escaping out the nozzle turned off with no hose attached.
Been having problems with the propane off and on ever since I started.
I'm starting to get really apprehensive about going to work.
I'm in Texas working a grill in a food truck in the summer so I was already low-key worried about dehydration, now I'm starting to think about spontaneous combustion.
I always said that's how I wanted to go out, but not like that.
