Hi, everyone. In this video I review three books by British author George MacDonald Fraser. Have you read any of these? Are there any politically incorrect books you read?

I've never read any George M Fraser novels - My dad was a journalist in Glasgow - he's been deceased nearly a quarter of a century - he knew the author & assisted him in getting his first book deal. He used to mention talking to Fraser who had the idea of developing the Flashman character from Tom Brown's Schooldays

The bookstore I frequent has a signed book by Fraser, one of the Flashman books. I can get it for around $60. 🤔🤔🤔 Should I? I probably will, next month maybe.

He's English, but a Borderlander. He's not a notorious coward as it's barely known & most die who do know.

Fraser was no racist. Try reading his WW2 memoirs. You Yanks are bereft of perspective & have no perspective. As for a sense of humour, ot's as funny as the US Army's and CIA's recruitment ads.
You gave no taste. I've read all of his books. He's a superb writer. Prose style is unmatched in the English language.

Regarding the constant racism, should he break character due to the readers sensitivity?
The point is he is meant to be unpleasant. The books are not Disney films nor are they meant to be, Flashman is a scumbag.
GMF puts him in positions to show his cowardice, racism, bullying, etc
He forced himself onto the Indian assassin, she tried to kill him….
