When the Biblical God sent the flood, it is believed by some commentators that Nimrod ordered the construction of the Tower of Bable (a tower to reach the heavens) in case he sent another one. Another idea proposes that Nimrod ordered the Tower to be built so he could reach God and fight him 😬

We used to call people, 'Nimrod ' as an insult when we were kids, absolutely no idea where it's use originated.
It wasn't until many years later, I learned Nimrod was a person in the Bible, and responsible for building the Tower of Babel.
Also, 'Nimrod ' was a early warning aircraft used by the RAF.

Imagine being a badass in your society only for generations thousands of years later only vaguely knowing you because mentioning your name is synominous with calling a person " Dumass".

Bugs Bunny refers to Elmer Fudd as “Nimrod” sometimes! A biblical hunting reference.

I grew up with the version of
Nimrod was trying to build a tower to reach God and God was like" Well that's not happening" so he confused the languages so they'd have to stop building

But the version of building a tower so high that God can't flood and kill everyone again also makes sense

Either way he was taking a stance against God. If he built the tower as flood insurance, he was still saying he didn't trust God or respect God's promise to not flood the earth again.

Nimrod according to Islam is one of the four rulers who have the largest kingdom in the world. Nimrod was given the privilege of God, that is, he never felt sick, and never sneezed even once. Nimrod was an illegitimate child and he married his own mother. Nimrod claimed to be a god, but was denied by a prophet that Nimrod was not a god, instead there was only one god and he was in the sky. due to being challenged by the prophet's claims, nimrod built the tower of babel. intended to kill the god that the prophet believed in and then declared that there was no other god but Nimrod. nimrod climbed the tower of babel and carried arrows dipped in the blood of eagles. after reaching the top floor of the tower of babel, nimrod shot an arrow as if he killed god. then the arrow soaked in the eagle's blood was shown to his people and claimed that he had killed the god that the prophet believed in, then declared that he was the only god that existed now. due to the arrogance, misguidance of Nimrod who claimed to kill God and claimed to be God, God showed the true power of God by sending only a mosquito that entered his head through the ear hole and killed Nimrod. and thus ends the history of a man who had a great kingdom, but became arrogant and misguided by admitting himself to be a god.

Hunter in the Bible can be describe as someone after human souls, like a warlord on bloodbath. Human slavery and human sacrifices were rampant and this is true where it is recorded throughout human history.

either he was a thoughtful ruler who wanted to ensure the safety of his people and possibly everyone else on earth or he runs to run fades with God either or he sounds like a absolute legend

There is so much more happening here than most people realize, but you’ve done well hinting at the most important things, like the Tower being built to carry Nimrod’s opposition to the heavens directly.
Nimrod was not only the world’s first (and worst) tyrant, he (with his Tower) was also the most powerful Titan. This is important because it casts our titans of industry in a far more accurate, destructive light.

Nimrod was described as mighty but definitely not noble. Hunter of souls. The first Antichrist. A tangible manifestation of man's hubris and pride brought low by the most high ✝️.

I heard some archaeologist say he was a real Summerian king named Enmerkar. The name Nimrod is supposedly some kind of insult in Hebrew, a play on words implying he was a foolish rebel or something.

Nimrod wanted to take his armies up to heaven kill the Most High and replace Him with Babylonian God's and himself, the insult of calling someone a nimrod is obvious as he was a bloody dunce cap to think he could do anything but irritate Yahweh. Most don't know Nimrod was beheaded by Esau, he rushed him as he hunted with two guardsmen who also were beheaded. Esau stole his raiment as well.
