I was a Huawei P30 pro user (the last Huawei flagship phone with GMS before the ban). Loved it and missed it so much. After 4 years plus of using it I have to move to Honor Magic 5 Pro, as I need GMS.

I'm not too sure downloading Google apps on latest Huawei phone will solve all the issues that current/earlier Huawei phone users (eg P40 pro) are facing, like Android auto connection. And there are some apps (small niche, only certain group professionals use them) either slow to update in AppGallery, or just never exist. It is not easy for those who aren't tech savvy enough to manually download and update those apps regularly (I'm definitely one of the tech noobs)

Honor is the closest shadow of Huawei to me. I really hope one day Huawei phone will be back in full glory again.

So in Malaysia they preinstall microG.
Major question I have why? Is that some legal requirement or thing that Huawei uses that is specific to Malaysia but not other regions?
Also this is EMUI 14 I assume. You did not have to install microG from the AppGallery manually?

I have Huawei Matepad 11 and Huawei Nova 5T ( this phone still has gms )

For my tablet, I have all the google apps and games. It runs much more smoothly.

I was gifted the Mate X5 (Chinese version). I installed Micro G and, recently, the Play Store. However, my Android apps do not run like they do on my Samsung S23, and the Huawei phone is not recognized by Android. I still need to have my old S23 nearby for authentication from time to time. Also, US carriers throttle back my data no matter what speed I connect at, and all of the apps in the App Gallary remain in Chinese even though I selected English as my language and Canada as my region. It's a sweet phone, but I struggle to use it. When I visit a Huawei store in Manila, all of the apps are in English and you can run Android or Harmony on the phones in the store. Is there anything I can do to have it run on Android? Or at least utilize English for the apps in the App Gallary? I would love to use this phone!

Using a 7 year old Huawei P20 lite and miss Huawei having Google services. I remember still my google maps won't run on it and when the ban was imposed it suddenly crashed the app while using maps. I use a Samsung A72 for mainly camera reasons but Huawei is still my first phone 📱

Does it require a bypass using apps like G-Box. Heard those google web services are 'slower' more laggy compared to full fledge google allowed OS...i read even whatsapp isn't real time received; could be slower...any Huawei used can confirm or deny?
