Mesa teacher arrested at Mexico border strikes deal for release

New hope has come for the family of a valley teacher behind bars after she accidentally brought a gun across the border during a last-minute spring break trip.

Several weeks after her arrest, Kayria Rosales' family says there is an agreement in place with Mexican authorities for her release.

I did 10 days in Nogales jail it blows money is all it takes. I got out for $1900 I was facing 7 years down there

How do you bring a gun across without realizing it. Is she that careless with a weapon to go party on spring break..?
I truly hope the school board reconsiders her employment by her decisions and lack of accountability. This isn't a lil oops I forgot. This is very disturbing and honestly quite infuriating. I would be flipping if she taught my children. Is this really the new standard of teachers now a days. Pathetic!!

In 2005 I was almost arrested in Juarez Mexico for drinking a beer in public. I didn’t say a word. All I did was reach in my back pocket and hand my wallet to the cop. He took all my money and handed my wallet back to me and he walked away. Luckily I had a “just in case” $20 bill in my shoe to get back across the border.
