Interesting this gives me an idea that would probably not work to turn it into a self sustaining one as the power it would generate would also make a pump work to keep pouring water over it to generate more power. Though that is too easy to say plus the fact that it needs to power something as well as being self sustaining will prove difficult to build and i don't know where to start

Im not sure but in the video it looks like the turbine is moving anti clockwise even though the water is landing on the right side of the turbine

what is causing the light bulb to light? is it the motor or the water? i am trying to establish what this experiment proves?

Hi we have tried making this but everything seems to work on their own but when we put it together the light doesn't go. Just wondering if this is because we have used a smaller wheel and it's not generating enough power for the generator to power the light?
