What I like most about this lecture is that it delivers what it promises. At the end of the half hour you will learn precisely what these five principles are and how to achieve them in your own games. Of all GM Smirnov's chess coaches, Givon comes closest to carrying out Smirnov's very effective teaching style.

Consider the 90 positions in 9LX where you have to move a rook on 1 side to castle on the other side. What to do about castling then when you can't seem to keep your 'poker face' up re the video 'When to DELAY Castling in Chess!!' (5lVvs0JB5ME) ?

See 'How many Chess960 positions exist in which castling on 1 side does not require moving the rook on the other side?' On Chess Stack Exchange

13:23: "...which leads me to another very important principle..."
Through counter-intelligence, it should be possible
To pinpoint potential troublemakers and neutralize them
Through counter-intelligence, it should be possible
To pinpoint potential troublemakers and neutralize them
And neutralize them

I consider myself a pretty good chess player but my attack is weak and getting bogged down keeps me out of those 4 digit matches. sitting at 945 Im hoping this breaks me into 1k.

If I play h3 then it's very good move. If opponent plays h6 then it creates weakness. Is that because our bishops are more better than opponents?

i was close at how he got checkmate but he took bishop to c4 instead of to h7 which also would of worked

This video is very helpful. The only problem is that my opponents watch these videos too.

26:25 that position is only checkmate after rook takes H5. The knight can take queen therefore not checkmate
